Egg at Dover Street Market
Having worked with Egg on the refurbishment of part of their complex of shops on Kinnerton Street, Jonathan Tuckey Design was asked to provide them with a small outpost at the newly opened Dover Street Market on the Haymarket, also in Central London.
A celebration of the ad-hoc feel of the Dover Street Market, the display units are inspired by campaign furniture and include a trunk, a coffer and a bureau. The furniture is made from stained chipboard with brass fittings and the units are mounted on frames of mild-steel.
Readily inhabited by Egg, dressed and rearranged in different ways, the furniture can also be folded-up at the end of the day presenting a muted, mysterious appearance when closed.
