The project involved refurbishing a semi-detached 1930s house in Kensal Rise. We opened up the ground floor and connected it with the garden through a dining room that has an ‘inside outside’ feel.
This room is now part of a ‘collage of spaces’ that mediate between the front of the house and the garden.
The existing palette of materials included mosaic tiled floors, quarry tiles and a pebble dash exterior. The new finishes and colours that we selected complement these original features and play on their characteristics.
