Building works are progressing swiftly on our new Theatre in Newbury.  The cross-laminated timber structure of the theatre at Horris Hill School is now complete and the building is wind and water tight.  169m3 of spruce was sourced from sustainable forests in Austria and pre-cut to allow the building form to be assembled on site in 3 weeks despite the heavy rain in December. Built in this way the timber has captured 169 tonnes of carbon reducing significantly the theatres environmental footprint. It is now possible to see the scale and hear the acoustics of the auditorium and stage for the first time.
