We are very happy to have been shortlisted in the Hidden Homeless competition launched by the New Horizon Youth Centre.  The competition was a contest for innovative housing solutions aimed at the large numbers of ‘hidden homeless’ in London and sought conceptual proposals to transform the surface buildings at the disused York Road underground station into a 560m² accommodation block for up to 28 people without safe or stable places to live.

The Hidden Homeless project aims to identify ‘durable, functional and serviceable’ concepts which could potentially be delivered across several sites in the capital and help the estimated 300,000 currently people living in such conditions in the capital. The competition is supported by Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, TFL, Pocket Living, and chaired Jon Snow from Channel 4 News.

We would like to thank  Barons Court Project,  This is Growth, Webb Yates Engineers, and SGA consulting without whose help this wouldn’t have been possible.

The winners will be announced on September 27th at an exhibition hosted by John McAslan and Partners.
